Bowel Cancer UK is a charitable organisation dedicated to saving lives. One of the ways the charity aims to achieve this is by raising awareness of the disease and its symptoms.
An effective and popular method if doing this is through awareness talks.
Bowel Cancer UK believes that people with experience of bowel cancer, as patients, relatives or carers are uniquely equipped to raise awareness. Therefore, they are looking for volunteers who would be willing to deliver talks to local groups in their community.
Bowel Cancer UK recruits new Awareness volunteers from all across Northern Ireland
Volunteers must be willing to complete an intensive two day training course which will cover bowel cancer facts and figures and presentation skills practice.
All materials, including the talk outline, will be provided and volunteers will be fully supported in this role.
