Community Ambassador (Cancer Focus NI)

Purpose of the role:

Do you enjoy being a part of your local community? Could you help us to reach more people in your area? By representing your area you can engage, inspire and inform others about the work of Cancer Focus NI, helping us to raise vital funds to support those living with cancer in Northern Ireland.

What does the role involve?

  • Promoting awareness of Cancer Focus NI and its services in your local community
  • Delivering talks or attending local community groups, schools, rotary clubs, women’s institutes etc. to inform them about the work of the charity and how they could support us
  • Working alongside your local fundraiser and a volunteer coordinator by supporting them at events in your area

What can I expect from the role?

  • Meet other like-minded people and join our ever growing team of Volunteers.
  • Develop skills and gain valuable experience which you can include on your CV.
  • Help make a difference to local cancer patients and their families.

What support will I be given?

  • Induction and training.
  • Materials and equipment to support you in your role.
  • Ongoing support from the Team in Cancer Focus NI.
  • Networking days to meet with other volunteers and keep up to date with the work of the Cancer Focus NI.
  • Out of pocket expenses
