The Irish FA provides a wide range of bespoke opportunities for volunteers to engage in both football related and community-based activities.

The Irish FA Volunteer Events Team

Our Volunteer Team was established in 2014 to provide mutually beneficial volunteer opportunities across the Irish FA and across the Northern Ireland football family.

As an Irish FA Volunteer Team member, you can join a central database of volunteers and be provided with regular opportunities as and when they are developed.

Examples of volunteering areas include:

  • - International matches and events
  • - Fanzones
  • - Ticketing
  • - Heritage centre
  • - VIP / Hospitality
  • - Sensory room
  • - Soccersight
  • - Local club opportunities
  • - Local league opportunities
  • - Holiday camps
  • - Games development centres

There are a range of volunteering roles for both the experienced volunteer and for anyone who wishes to give volunteering a go for the first time.

We will be advertising a range of on-field and off-field opportunities at all levels of the game from grassroots and local football to international matches and events run by the Irish FA Foundation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take part in a once in a lifetime event coming to Northern Ireland. This prestigious event is coming to Northern Ireland for the first time and we require volunteers to undertake a number of roles for the event.

There will be a number of opportunities in the build up and during the tournament to interest all ages and you can take part in one or a number of games depending on your availability.

These include but are not limited to

· VIP/Ambassador/ Hospitality Mascot Chaperone

· Mini Match Day Support

· Technical Support

· Mascot

· Ticketing

· Transport and driving

· Doping Control Chaperone

You will be invited to a face to face induction session where you will be able to meet the other volunteer and get more information on the roles and the chance to ask any questions you have about the tournament in both Belfast and Coleraine with online options for volunteers who cannot meet the sessions.

There will be opportunities at 16 games throughout the event at three grounds across Northern Ireland at this unique opportunity. Full training for each role will be provided and volunteers can experience a range of opportunities during the event.

Opportunities are open to all and is mainly open to over 18's but, where possible, we can open up opportunities for Under 18's to take part as a family or small group including volunteers who are over 18.

Unfortunately we cannot pay any expenses for this week but all participants will be given the opportunity to avail of training that will support voluntary and paid opportunities going forward all volunteers will receive free kit supplied by UEFA to wear throughout the event and get to keep them after the event is over as a memento of what is hoped to be an amazing summer!
